I am nearly too upset today to post. University of Illinois' basketball team, the Fighting Illini, lost its first game of the season yesterday, to Ohio State, by 1 point. They are now 29 and 1.

No big deal you might think but I live in Illinois. We have nothing going on here. Nothing! Have you ever heard of flyover country?

Does that look exciting to you? All we had going for us was our miracle basketball team and now it's completely boring and ordinary, just like Illinois. Illinois, where basketball teams lose and things are flat. Sigh.
