Some writings, old and new

MARCH 8, 2002

Today is the day to drink expensive beer.

This week I managed to combine three of my favorite topics: barbeque, advertising and the greatest boy-band in the world,*NSync, in an article for SCREEN Magazine here in Chicago. SCREEN happens to have an Managing Editor whose name just happens to be Claire. No, it's not me, it's the lovely Claire Weingarden and she deserves mad props for handling such a big job with grace. But especially for publishing my piece, HUM Music’s Jeff Koz jams with 'NSync. Which girl is going to ingratiate herself with the members of *NSync based on her mad writing skills? Obviously, it's gonna be me!

I'd also like to present you with a blast from the past of my writing days. My friend Liz sent me this short email:

"I refuse to use this to stalk people but I wanted to see what would happen if someone Google'd me. The fact that this is what turns up is nothing short of fantastic. Thanks, Claire."

What exactly is she talking about? Check it out for yourself!
Learn something new while you can laugh and laugh at my early writing, my awesome quotes, and of course, the mispelling of my last name.

Oh, and next week Zulkey.com undertakes an exciting endeavor wherein each week I shall present to you a thrilling, informative interview with one of my friends (all 3 o' them), whether they be from the writing world, my personal life, or just me pretending to be somebody else. Some of them are pretty cute. You could make some new friends this way! I know I have. So hopefully, if things go right, keep an eye out.

Have a great weekend. I shall be partying with A-listers, and only A-listers.
