Something I've learned about myself is that I will never find "one true way" of doing anything, whether it's writing, losing weight, taking care of my house, what have you. It's better just to embrace the fact that some days one thing will work for me and other days it's another method. That's how I hold onto family archives. It's better for me to have ten disparate, convenient ways of recording my kids growing up than one that's a pain in the neck (and also if there is a fire or internet apocalypse, my chances are higher of holding onto something.)
