If you live in Chicago (or know somebody who does who is looking for something lighthearted yet not-culturally-wastelandish to do), please stop by the legendary Hideout at 6:30 for our latest installment of Funny Ha-Ha, the literary humor reading series I produce. This time around we're featuring some newer faces (like Jezebel's Jessica Coen, Drunk Monkey Erica Reid and Shitshow producer Monte LaMonte) in addition to some old faves like Blewt's Steve Gadlin, The Kates' Kelsie Huff, and The World According to Mimi Smartypants' Solange Knowles (no wait: scratch that. It's Mimi Smartypants.) At the very least you should come because the Hideout serves this amazing beverage Stiegl Grapefruit Radler which I like to call the "Fresca of beers" (also it's low in alcohol content so you can drink a thousand of them), but more importantly, you should come because it'll be a hilarious time and I've started noticing that not just the readers but the audience tends to be packed with awesome people, and don't you like awesome people? More details below. Hope to see you there!
