Book By Its Cover Review: Being Snubbed by the Hermes Store After Closing Time

Has anything ever sucked and rocked at the same time? Because if this is possible, I think it would happen right here.

On the one hand, nobody likes being turned away. You can't tell why you're being rejected. Is it because people don't like your show? Your magazine? Beloved? Your book club? Your hairstyle? Your race? Your name? The fact that you smoked crack once? Was it just a store being all hard-assed about their alleged 'hours'? Listen, sometimes you just have to buy an expensive watch for your friend Tina Turner, and it hurts when the man gets in your way. Those French are so rude.

But then...

As you walk away from the store...and start smirking to yourself...

I can't believe I just tried to get into Hermes after hours to buy TINA TURNER a watch! I mean they didn't let me in there, but come on! This is my life! I rule!

Oh and those Hermes people are going to pay. Think I'm going to order 50,000 Birkin bags? Think again. Those denim Louis Vuitton purses are pretty cute though.

Aah, good times. Be proud of yourself, not only for being ranked the #1 most powerful celebrity by Forbes magazine, but because you teach an important boycotting lesson to struggling moguls everywhere: If one store doesn't let you spend thousands of dollars after closing time, then you're just giving a struggling, lesser-known shop that one special chance.
