First: I have two stories in Chicago magazine's fall culture issue: an interview with Awesomely Luvvie blogger Luvvie Ajayi and a short profile of the makers of the documentary Raising Bertie.

We have friends who gave their kids really cool middle names: their son's middle name is Sparks and their daughter's middle name is Rush. When they're in trouble the parents use all three names, but all I can think when I hear all three names invoked is, "Those are really great middle names." I also realized that these are both team names--from the WNBA and Arena Football. So if you're having a baby soon and are still not sure what middle name to choose, maybe one of these other WNBA or Arena Football team names would suffice:

Sky

Liberty

Lynx

Mercury

Storm

Knight/Night (both Arena football team names)

Coyote

Pharoah

Blaze

Outlaw

Valor

Honorable mention goes out to anybody who gives their kid the middle name "Yard Dawgz."
