Merry Christmas from James

Steve and I used to try to do some sort of creative Christmas card every year but I think this is the year we're giving up (if temporarily.) We just don't have the time or brainpower just to get a picture of the four of us we like, let alone do it in some sort of clever manner.

I still haven't found a recent photo of the four of us that is suitable. After a hectic crush to get some nice photos with Santa at my parents' country club party, we got the digital proofs and I wasn't really happy with any of them--either Paul looked weird or my hair looked weird or we looked okay but the Santa was weird or the gauntlet of golf clubs mounted on the wall behind us was definitely weird.

The one person I was happy with was James, because he reliably made the same dumb round baby expression in nearly every single photo. I wish we could have done something with just that in one of the cards but alas, this particular photo store only lets you order prints and not digital copies from which I could get something suitably hi-res.

So, instead of working or cooking or cleaning yesterday I spent a decent amount of time getting screenshots of all the photos so I could do this:

This is my gift to you. Maybe you want to print this out and trim it to make a bookmark, or cut out each circle and punch a paper clip through it to hang them on your tree as ornaments. Or you just want to sit back and marvel at what a loving mother I am and how seriously I keep Christmas.
