Why I chose not to breastfeed: twice

7825562980_38b7e934aa_o.jpgHere is a thing I wrote for Mom.me about the way we fed Paul and the way we'll feed his brother or sister. I didn't write it as some sort of "brave confessional" but I do believe that choosing not to breastfeed can be a great choice for the women who find it works best for them, and I get sick of the rhetoric online that it's only acceptable if you tried all other options but just can't. I know women of a certain generation will probably see this and say "So what?" but they don't waste as much time online in judgy parenting forums as I do (which I suppose is correctable). I love this photo of Steve, by the way. We had a hell of a time getting Paul to eat any of those tiny 2-ounce bottles of formula in the early days and I don't know what I would have done without him there to help me.
