is that I saw Body Worlds many years ago when it was in Chicago and saw this guy:
Gunther von Hagens' BODY WORLDS, Institute for Plastination, Heidelberg, Germany, www.bodyworlds.com
And for some reason his feet, more than any other part of the exhibition, stuck with me. They were all dark and worn from years of walking around as humans do. And I realized that if I were to be in a Body Worlds type exhibit after I am dead, holding my own skin, I want my feet to look nice so nobody thinks that about my feet. And so, that is why I take the time to polish up my feet every time I shower. Just in case.
And also, I feel a small sense of pride when the women at the salon compliment me on the upkeep of my soles. That helps too.Â
