9416699118_3e9ba7de8a_z.jpgLast summer, at a Funny Ha-Ha, my favorite bartender and country singer, the Hideout's Lawrence Peters, introduced me to a drink called Steigl Grapefruit Radler and now that it's spring, I've already had about eight of them. Why do I love it? It basically tastes like Fresca mixed with a very nice, light beer. And you may know how I feel about Fresca. So it's crisp, refreshing, and a tiny bit sweet.

Basically, Steigl Grapefruit Radler is delicious as hell--almost dangerously so, because when I find a beverage delicious, I have a hard time pacing myself. But that's the other good thing about it: it's only 2.5% alcohol content, so I don't fall over if I have more than a few (and also, it's mixed with real grapefruit juice, which makes it healthy. Right?)

Currently my local Jewel has been stocking these and promoting it like whoa so if you're at the store, pick up a case and give it a try, especially if you're having a Memorial Day party and want to impress your friends. It comes in cute medium-sized bottles and also tallboy cans (I've only had the bottles, myself.)

I recommended this onstage at Funny Ha-Ha last Friday and apparently the Hideout saw a surge of people asking for "the grapefruit beer," so I wanted to continue to spread the word to ensure this beverage is always within reach come warm weather-time.

Stiegl is not compensating me for this post. But if you work for them and want to send me a few cases of Grapefruit Radler, I'll give you my address!
