It's been a little liberating to pull away from Zulkey.com a bit the last few weeks to focus on this intense period I've got going on (by "period" I mean time, of course) but I'm a little worried if I take too much time away I'm going to get out of the habit of writing frequently. So as an in-between thing I'm just stealing this little quiz from Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point. If I were trying to be witty I could try and give you funny answers but that's just too much right now.

1. What are you wearing?
A navy shirtdress, neon yellow belt, and black and white flats.

2. Ever been in love?
Yep.

3. Ever had a terrible breakup?
At the time it seemed pretty terrible but now in the grand scheme of things I'd say I got off pretty easily compared to some people who've had supremely terrible breakups. But, sure.

4. How tall are you?
I used to be 5 foot four but apparently I'm not even quite that tall.

5. How much do you weigh?
As of this morning, 151.5 pounds of pure muscle and steel (for real though I think I'm in pretty good shape right now. Check in with me after my vacation though.)

6. Any tattoos?
Nope.

7.  Any piercings?
Just two functional ear piercings. I had an upper-ear cartilage piercing and a second regular ear piercing up until my wedding day and for some arbritrary reason I took out the extra piercings and was like "I guess I'm done with that now." It's kind of a relief only to have to think about two earrings per day now.

8. Favorite song?
This is an impossible question. Do you want to know what song has been in my head all day? This one. I heard it on the radio over the weekend and liked it and bought it. I like how much it sounds like an '80's pop song.

9. Quality you'd look for in a partner?
Sense of humor, general decency, and a sense of motivation. I lucked out.

10.  Favorite quote?
If you had asked me this question a few months ago I would have said "quotes are boring" (I'm 12 years old) but I am finishing a feature I wrote on Nobel-winning economist Lars Peter Hansen for work. His work is seen by many is seen by inscrutable and complicated but he summarizes his Generalized Method of Moments as "doing something without doing everything." Even though that was not meant to apply to me whatsoever it's generally my latest philosophy.

11. Favorite actor?
I don't have one. I have a lot of romantic dreams about Joel McHale, though. Watch how sweet he is here with Diablo Cody's baby:

12. Loud music or soft?
Loud. As you can tell from all these playlists.

13. Where do you go when you're sad?
Probably to the bathroom so I can hide and read my phone.

14.  How long does it take for you to get ready in the morning?
Depending on the morning, about an hour, but that includes walking the dog, getting myself ready, cooking breakfast and washing the dishes etc. My ideal morning would involve not showering or putting on makeup.

15. Every been in a physical fight?
Just with my brother, which stopped when he got big and strong enough to seriously hurt me.

16. Turn on?
Talented, decent-seeming really tall guys (see: Joel McHale, Conan O'Brien, Hugh Jackman, NBA players who can be funny when they cameo on TV shows.)

17.  Turn off?
Other people's white calloused feet.

18.  Fears?
Lately it's carbon monoxide poisoning: I have a car that starts with a push button and for some reason I am always contemplating how I'm just a button-press away from dying in my garage.

19.  Last thing that made you cry?
Oh man, I can't even remember. Which is funny because it felt like not long ago when my kid was tiny, all I did was cry.

20. Last time you said you loved someone?
This morning, when I was leaving the house.

21. Meaning behind your YouTube name?
It's a clever blend of my first and last names. Clairezulkey.

22. The relationship between you and the person you last texted?
My dear friend Kelly McNees, whom I cherish for being a mom friend, a writer friend, and just a funny-ass lady. She has a new book out, FYI.

23. Favorite food?
Mac 'n cheese. Chocolate chip cookies.

24.  Place you want to visit?
Steve's and my next big trip, whenever we get around to it, would be to Chile and Argentina I think.

25.  Do you have a crush?
Not at this moment but I think innocent mini crushes are perfectly acceptable.

26. Last time you kissed someone?
This morning. This is the upside of having a family I believe.

27. Last time you were insulted?
There are so many ways to be insulted these days; online, off, etc. Somebody didn't like something I wrote for Jezebel and asked if I was finally fired from the AV Club and welcome to rock bottom. I was mostly mad that he thought his opinion meant anything.

28.  Favorite piece of jewelry?
Tie between my engagement ring and an Omega watch my parents gave me on my 21st birthday, which we celebrated in Munich.
