If you're like me, Sundays give you complicated feelings. They're still weekend days, where you don't technically have to put on pants or leave the house, but they're also weeknights, and that cloud of "Gotta go to bed early tonight I guess" hangs over you. This is why I have issues with the idea of a lovingly-made Sunday night dinner. Yes, I definitely like the idea of kicking off the week with something homemade and cozy, but I do not like the idea of using my Sunday to plan a grocery list, go to the store, deal with all the crazy people there, come home, put the groceries away, prep dinner, cook dinner, wash the dishes and then think about my own mortality (maybe that's just me.) So when Foodie proposed I put together a slideshow of Sunday night dinners, I knew I wanted to do one on dishes that take as little time as possible. These are still tried-and-true and popular in my house, but they still leave you time for whatever it is you need to do on Sunday (laundry, tell yourself you'll read the newspaper, think about your own mortality.) Enjoy!
