A few weeks ago I had a friend over who was feeling exhausted by her two young sons. She looked at some baby-related things I had written on our kitchen chalkboard and said, "But you actually seem to enjoy having children." Well, first, I only have one, so that makes it easier. But I think what I really enjoy isn't so much the child but the chalkboard. To wit:

So in conclusion, next time your kids are bringing you down, I suggest re-doing your backsplash with chalkboard paint and using it to write things about your kids. At the very least it can help you give the impression that you "enjoy" your children--because let's face it, looking like you do is more important than actually doing it.
