It has come to my attention that apparently some racist people have been using the word "Canadian" to mean "black."

I really wasn't aware of this but I'd like to take this moment to clear up anything I might have said about "Canadians" that might be misconstrued as racist.

Like when I said you people sure love your bacon. I was talking about a different "you people" and a different kind of bacon. I love American bacon and if there is a specifically black type of bacon, I'm sure it's even more delicious.

I do not think you talk funny.

When I've gone on the record as saying that a you are a tolerant, multi-cultural society that promotes ethnic, cultural, and linguistic diversity and does not demand its immigrants assimilate, I meant no harm.

I do however stand by my statement that I think your maple syrup is delicious
