Today is the day to pack your bags.

So today is the fifth anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001. I was thinking about what to do today on the site. On the one hand, I think it's pretty obnoxious when bloggers order their readers to think, or treasure your loved ones, or pray. Also, I'm sure nobody cares to hear what I was doing on that particular day--I bet it's not that different from what most of the rest of the country was up to that day. On the other hand, though, if I just let this day pass without comment, I am a robot.

So, rather than focus on the negative and the sad, I figured today is a good day to honor the true heroes of September 11: those people who created collectibles for us so that we would never forget the negative and sad events of that day (ones that also make great stocking-stuffers and gifts for the busy executive!)

Thank you, manufacturers. If it wasn't for you, the terrorists would have truly won.

The September 11 tie: Now you'll never forget--what to wear to work on this day.

WTC Laser Crystal Paperweight: The terrorists love disorder and chaos. Show them how well-held-down your papers are.

September 11 Memorial Knife: You can't take it on a plane but if a terrorist confronts you elsewhere you'll be ready--with a reminder of why you're mad.

9/11 Hair Scrunchie: Buy plenty for your cheerleading team--you'll make your opponents look like America-haters in comparison.

Remember Our Heroes Stickers: Stick them everywhere!!! Especially on heroes.

WTC Luggage Tags: Because people especially need to be reminded at the airport about the World Trade Center.

World Trade Center Commemorative Flag: Because a regular large flag is not good enough.

Forever In Our Hearts New York City Skyline Wall Art: For you out of towners, combines the solemnity of the occasion with the glitz and glamour of the city!
