A rave

Today is to make fun of unflattering photos of your loved ones.

I'm going to try something sort of new for Thursdays--instead of "Book By Its Cover Reviews," wherein I pretend to review things that I don't know anything about, I'm going to just steal from Craig's List (which is pathetic) and go for "Rants and Raves," where I pretty much judge whatever I want, based on no criteria whatsoever. This may be temporary or it may last three years. Who knows. The good news is though is that this is just the kind of thing other people can join in on if they wish, as long as the ranting has a little tongue in its cheek and the raving isn't too effusive, because nobody likes anybody who's too positive about anything.

Except this one time because I'm going to rave about something. This 'may' be a conflict of interest in that it's a project I'm involved in but whatever, man, this is my website.

Sarah Hatter and Wendy Atterberry contacted me a while ago giving me the shot to be in The Very Best Weblog Writing Ever By Anyone Anywhere in the Whole Wide World: Vol I. There is no way that this book cannot live up to that title. I got the book in the mail yesterday and it was cracking me up. So if you've ever looked at something online and said "I like this--but I might like it more if I can hold it in my sweaty hands", then this book is for you. Also, if you disdain the shortening of the word "weblog" to the much less dignified "blog." You can buy it here.
