Book By Its Cover Review: Surviving a Ride in a Tornado

On the outset, everything about this seems pretty good. You're alive, you have a good story to tell and you're getting some national attention. What's wrong with that? All good.

Except when you consider Matt Suter in Missouri. I feel bad for the kid in some ways. He shares a trailer with his grandma and grandpa. It's possible that this could be the most exciting thing to ever happen to him in his life, and he's only 19.

And on top of that, he was unconscious during his magical mystery ride inside the twister. So, technically, we don't actually know if a tornado actually picked him up and put him somewhere else. I mean I believe him but some people could say "Hey, how do I know you didn't just run out there in your boxer shorts to try to get some attention? You obviously wanted this to happen, hence you living in a trailer park. And when it didn't, desperate, you faked your own tornado ride. For shame.

And then what? He'd be called an impostor, and be exiled from his trailer park.

No thank you. Despite popular belief, tornadoes are not the fun, impulsive cousin of the hurricane. All they case is heartache.
