Today is the day to leave your laces untied.
You need spiritual help? Ask the BYT. You need any other help? Ask me.
But especially ask me, since there was only one question mailed in this week to Dear Zulk. What do you want me to do, write something and like totally make something up every week? Are you serious?
dear zulk,
my question for you today is a little embarassing. i am wondering why every
time i take a vitamin my pee turns bright yellow. am i the only one this
happens to? should i see a doctor? thank you for not laughing at me. i'm
sure you're not. of course you wouldn't be, because that would be unprofessional.
I would like to point out that I am by default semi-professional, as I only make a small amount of money through the site. It's not paying the rent, but it is paying the utlities. My luxurious utilities.
Using my superior brain, I googled "vitamin," "urine" and "yellow" and found the following answer:
Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, is responsible for the bright yellow color of your urine.
Many high-potency vitamin B formulas contain significantly more riboflavin (20-50 mg). At such levels the body gets rid of the excess in the urine. This is not dangerous.
Since nobody wrote in with any other questions today, I think I'll take this one step further. I looked up Vitamin B2 and found out that you definitely need it in your system because a shortage of this vitamin may manifest itself as cracks and sores at the corners of the mouth, eye disorders, inflammation of the mouth and tongue, and skin lesions.
Dermatitis, dizziness, hair loss, insomnia, light sensitivity, poor digestion,
retarded growth, and slow mental responses have also been reported. Burning
feet can also be indicative of a shortage.
So obviously, if you're experiencing all this, you have problems although if this does happen to you give me a call because I'd like to check out the dizzy, bald, dumb, blinky hot-foot.
One thing dietitians always tell you is that the best way to get vitamins is to include them in your diet instead of taking supplements. The way to get B2 in your diet is through organ meats, nuts, cheese, eggs, milk and lean meat are great sources of riboflavin, but is also available in good quantities in green leafy vegetables, fish, legumes, whole grains, and yogurt.
If you send me your address, I will personally send you some organ meats yourself, provided that you eat 40 organ meats and videotape it.
And that's about it. Did you feel like today's Zulkey sucked? Then send
me some goddamned questions!
