A friend pointed out this house listing to me, which proclaims South Evanston (where I live) "The Brooklyn of Chicago." I really like how this ties three separate cities together, which makes me think of similar claims you could make about other towns:
- Collinwsorth, NJ: the Detroit of the Eastern Time Zone
- St. Louis: the Austin of Cleveland
- South Portland, ME: the Portland, OR, of Maine's greater Portland area
- San Francisco: The Mexico City of Vancouver
- Dempsey, Alaska: the Atlanta of Russia
