But I hate saying no/missing out more than I hate getting up onstage.

Wednesday, January 21: Guts and Glory. 7 PM at Schuba's, 3159 North Southport Avenue. I am not excited to figure out what I'm going to write for this reading that will fit its description of "bold, brash and beautiful," as I'm feeling none of those things right now, but at the very least I get to enjoy the readings of the other people performing that night, who include Kelsie Huff, Andrew Marikis, Jake Cowan and Mary Lorenz.

Friday, January 30: Funny Ha-Ha: Radio Sweethearts. 6:30 at the Hideout, 1354 West Wabansia Avenue! Read more about it at this great website called Zulkey.com. We have some old friends and lots of new faces at this show so I hope you come and are prepared to laugh loudly and encouragingly.

Sunday, February 8: That's All She Wrote. 8 PM at Great Lakes Tattoo, 11548 West Grand Ave. I'm excited to say this is my first time reading with this series, and will be performing alongside Kevin Gladish, Sarah Hollenbeck and Sheri Reda.

Sunday, February 15: The Marrow. 7:30 PM at the Punch House, 1227 West 18th Street. More details to come!

Friday, February 20: Cafe Cabaret. 7 PM at Cafe Ballou, 939 N. Western. More details to come!

Saturday, March 38: The Kates. 7 PM at the Book Cellar, 4736 N. Lincoln. This show is always a hoot, and inspiring to see so many different funny Chicago women come together. I'll be performing with Jamie Jirak, Kris Simmons, Mary Lorenz, Kayla Benker, Kate Streit, Beth Casey, and Elyse "MoFo" Anders.
